"Attic Treasure"
One day I thought it would be nice to check
out the treasures in grandmas attic.
It was a dusty place we were told not to go,
and about this, grandma was very emphatic.
But being a curious twelve year old,
my boredom had hit an all time high.
I knew if I didn't get to see those treasures,
I'd just lay down and die.
I plotted and I planned on how to get there,
I had to think up the perfect scheme.
When finally the moment arrived,
I thought it must be all a dream.
There were memories and treasures,
In every little nook and cranny,
And finally I saw this big white Bible.
I knew in a minute, it belonged to Granny.
I remember how she read it daily,
And wrote to me, her favorite verses..
She'd say, "If you read your Bible daily,
You won't have to worry about enemy curses."

Jesus is our Teacher, Healer, Friend and Savior!
Jesus is the Son of God!
Jesus is our Teacher: Mark 5:1-15
When He saw the crowds, He went up on the
mountainside, sat down and began to preach to them.
Jesus is our Healer: John 9:1-11
Jesus said, "Go, wash in the pool of Siloam."
So the men went and washed and came home seeing.
Jesus is our Friend: John 15:12-17
"Greater love hath no one than this, that He lay
down His life for His friends.You are my friends
if you do what I command."
Jesus is our Savior: John 3:14-17
"God did not send His Son into the world to condemn it,
but to save the world through Him."
Jesus is the Son of God: Mark1:1-11
A voice came from heaven, "You are my Son, whom I love;
with you I am well pleased."
Then she told me Jesus said, "I am the Way, the
Truth  and  the Life." John14:6
Oh, I had such a good time in grandmas attic,
Remembering all that grandma taught me.
She said "Dede, God answers all prayers
that are said on a bended knee."
I brushed the dust off grannys Bible
And held it close to my heart.
I said, "Thank you Jesus for this treasure,
Grannys Bible and I will never part.
