Matilda And Tyler

Hello Kids, This is my first in a series of stories
for you. I hope you will enjoy them and tell your
friends all about them. Be sure to have your mom
and dad read them to your younger sibblings.
Matilda And Tyler

Matilda Mouse lived in a country where they had
big mansions. There were many parties there and
lots of food so she never knew what it was like to
go hungry. Her very best friend Tyler lived on a
farm in another part of the country and people who
lived there were very poor.
There was never enough to eat in the country. The poor
mice had to run in the fields all day looking for kernels
of corns or any other seeds or grain that they could find.
Theirs was a life of hunger.
Tyler had told Matilda about this and Matilda felt bad for
her best friend, so she invited Tyler to live with her in the
big Mansion. Tyler couldn't wait to go there.

When Tyler arrived, he was so very hungry so Matilda took
him directly to the dining room table, where there was an
over abundance of good foods. There had been a large party
there that evening and the servants were too tired to put
away everything so there was much to feast on.
Tyler had never seen so much food. There was cheeses of
all kinds, breads, and meats. Wow! his little tummy was
beginning to feel better already just looking at all this
good food. He decided right then and there he was never
leaving his new home. He did not ever want to feel hungry again.

Now, there was just one problem. Matilda was so excited about
seeing Tyler, she forgot to tell him about the mousetraps.
Oh, yes! The people that lived here in this beautiful, big, mansion
were afraid of mice and they set mousetraps to get rid of them.
There was also another danger that Matilda forgot to tell her
friend Tyler about. That was a big white cat named Snowball.
Snowball was very good at catching mice so he was a very large
cat but he could run fast.

The mice were on top of the dining room table when all of a
sudden Matilda saw Snowball sneaking through the doorway.
She yelled, "Run for your life."
Poor little Tyler was confused and ran straight for the mousehole,
but Matilda was fearful her friend would get caught so she
turned and looked back and just as she did, she ran right into
a mousetrap and "SNAP", that was the end of her.

Tyler was so upset about all of this he packed his little bag and
headed straight home for the farm again. " I want to be somewhere
where I am safe." he said to himself.
Sometimes, even we as christians get jealous and think we'd
like to have what someone else has.
This is not *SAFE* thinking!

The Bible says, "It is better to have a little and a life with God
than to have a lot and have much trouble."

Jesus warns people about *Greed*.
People who love money and things often forget about God
and fall into a life of sin. The very worse trouble anyone
can have is having a life without Jesus at the center of it.
Jesus has to be the most important thing in our life.

My Prayer For You:

Our Heavenly Father, You know our needs and what is
best for us. Please give us only what we need and what
we can use to help others. Remind us daily, that a safe
life with You is better than a life of abundance and
great troubles. We ask this in Jesus' precious name....Amen
